SAFETY PROTOCOL
Safety Is Non-Negotiable at Elite House Wash LLC
At Elite House Wash LLC, the safety of our clients, their properties, and our team always comes first. When we perform any exterior cleaning service — from house washing to roof cleaning and more — we don’t just show up and spray. We work according to a robust, multi-layered safety protocol designed to minimize risks and deliver consistent, high-quality results.
Before each job, our crew conducts a comprehensive pre-job risk assessment to identify potential hazards and vulnerabilities on the property. From fragile landscaping to unique building features or tricky roof angles, we proactively plan how to protect your home and everything around it.
Because safety is integral to everything we do, you can trust that your home, plants, and surrounding property are in good hands. This proactive approach also allows us to operate confidently in more challenging conditions — such as colder weather or higher elevations — when lesser-equipped companies may have to decline.
Pre-Wash Assessment
Before we start any cleaning, Elite House Wash LLC performs a comprehensive pre-wash inspection. This extra step allows us to understand the unique conditions of your property, address potential risks up front, and plan the safest, most effective way to complete the job. It’s part of our commitment to protecting your home and giving you complete peace of mind.
✔️Thoroughly inspect the property: We walk the entire work area to get a full understanding of surfaces, landscaping, and access points, noting any features that may require extra care.
✔️Identify landscaping features and delicate plants: We carefully note the location of all landscaping features — including flowers, ornamental shrubs, vegetable plants, herbs, and any plants grown for food — as well as newly planted or fragile greenery.
✔️Identify potential water intrusion areas: We check siding joints, rooflines, vents, and any gaps where water could enter so we can adjust our washing techniques and pressure accordingly.
✔️Safeguard all electrical outlets and fixtures: Exterior outlets, light fixtures, and other electrical components are identified and protected before washing begins to prevent short circuits or damage.
✔️Evaluate window installations for seepage risks: We examine window seals, caulking, and flashing to make sure they’re secure and can withstand soft washing without leaks.
✔️Assess the condition and setup of gutters: We check for loose sections, clogs, or debris sitting on gutter guards to prevent overflow of cleaning solutions and ensure water flows safely away from the home during the wash.
✔️Identify security cameras, video doorbells, telecom boxes, and wall-mounted solar equipment: We locate and note all sensitive electronics mounted on exterior walls so we can proceed with extra caution around them, preventing overspray, impact, or disruption.
✔️Acknowledge young children or pets on the property: If children or pets are present, we take extra precautions — such as cordoning off areas and scheduling breaks — to keep everyone safe and minimize disruption during the washing process.
This pre-wash inspection allows us to tailor our approach to your home’s specific needs, protecting your property while ensuring a thorough, high-quality clean.

Protecting Your Landscaping and Garden Plants
We understand that your landscaping and gardens are a big investment — and one of the first concerns when scheduling an exterior wash. That’s why, before any work begins, we conduct a thorough walkthrough of your property to identify all plants that could be at risk. Some are more delicate than others — especially flowers in bloom, herb plants, and vegetable plants — and we give those special attention.

All plants are pre-saturated with fresh water to create a protective barrier between the foliage/soil and any cleaning solution. Those identified as higher-risk are not only pre-saturated but also covered with chemical-resistant tarps for an added layer of protection. In warmer months, once those tarps are removed, we perform a thorough post-rinse to cool and refresh the plants and help prevent heat stress or damage.
Why pre-saturation works: Plant tissues and surrounding soil behave like a sponge. When they’re dry, they readily absorb liquids — including any cleaning solution overspray. By saturating the foliage and root zone with clean water first, we “fill up” that sponge so that if any diluted cleaner drifts or runs off, it’s far less likely to be absorbed and much more likely to roll off or be immediately diluted. This dramatically lowers the risk of chemical burn, salt stress, or nutrient disruption to the plant. Post-rinsing then removes any surface residue and cools leaves that were under cover, further reducing stress.

Neutralizing residual cleaner: As a final safeguard, we can apply a chemical neutralizer to plants after washing. This product is specifically formulated to “deactivate” sodium hypochlorite (the active ingredient in bleach) by breaking down its oxidative power into harmless salts and water. In plain terms, it stops the bleach from acting as a chemical irritant, further reducing the chance of plant stress or damage. Using a neutralizer after pre-saturation and post-rinsing adds a third layer of protection, especially around edible or highly sensitive plants.
Together, these steps — pre-saturation, covering, post-rinsing, and neutralizing — form a comprehensive plant-protection strategy that goes beyond industry norms. They help keep your landscaping, gardens, and outdoor living spaces healthy and safe while still allowing us to deliver a deep, thorough clean to your home’s exterior.
Application of Cleaning Agents
While sodium hypochlorite — the active ingredient in bleach — is the industry standard for cleaning homes, buildings, and properties, it can be harmful to the environment, landscaping, and pets if not properly handled. At Elite House Wash LLC, we take that responsibility seriously. We’ve built our entire process around using this proven cleaner in the safest, most controlled way possible to protect your home and everything around it.
Applying a cleaning solution at Elite House Wash LLC isn’t just dumping bleach into a bucket. We use commercial-grade proportioning and metering equipment that lets us fine-tune the strength of our cleaning mix in ⅛-percent increments for each individual area of your home. Lighter concentrations are used on cleaner sides, and stronger concentrations only where stubborn green, black, or heavy organic growth is present.
This level of precision is what sets us apart from companies using a one-size-fits-all solution. By tailoring our approach, we dramatically protect your plants, landscaping, pets, and local wildlife, reduce unnecessary chemical exposure and runoff, and minimize our environmental footprint — all while extending the life of your siding, paint, and finishes. Our specialized cleaning agents target dirt, mold, algae, and other contaminants efficiently and safely, delivering a deep, uniform clean that under-equipped or less-experienced companies simply can’t match.

Equipment Handling & Surface-Specific Care

Every home is different, and so is every surface on that home. At Elite House Wash LLC, we begin by identifying the materials and finishes we’ll be working with — whether it’s vinyl, aluminum, or painted wood siding; stained wood on decks, trim, or porch ceilings; metal surfaces on windows and gutters; or stone, pavers, stamped concrete, roof shingles, and other specialty hardscapes. Each of these materials has its own tolerances and vulnerabilities, so a “one-pressure-fits-all” approach is never safe.
Our technicians carefully adjust the pressure and water volume for each surface to avoid the dangers of improper washing. Excessive or misdirected pressure can crack siding, force water behind walls, put holes in delicate materials, or even etch metal, stone, and concrete surfaces. By tailoring our process for each material, we prevent damage, protect the structural integrity of your home and its surrounding hardscapes, and deliver a deep, safe clean that maintains the appearance and lifespan of every surface. This deliberate, surface-specific handling of our equipment is what sets Elite House Wash LLC apart and ensures your property is cleaned deeply, safely, and efficiently.
Our Commitment to Protection
At Elite House Wash LLC, protection is at the heart of everything we do. From the moment we step onto your property, our focus is on safeguarding not only your home’s exterior but also your landscaping, hardscapes, and the entire property environment. We take equal care to protect the people and pets who live there and even the local wildlife surrounding your home. Every procedure, every product, and every piece of equipment we use is chosen with these priorities in mind.
We know that trusting someone to work on your home can bring questions or concerns. That’s why we encourage you — no matter how big or small your concern may be — to reach out. We’re happy to answer questions, explain our process in detail, and provide the peace of mind you deserve when considering any exterior cleaning project.
